Bike Werx launched on the idea that cycling enthusiasts need professional alternatives to cash in on unused or unwanted cycling gear without the hassle of creating and maintaining online listings, photographing items, paying auction fees, haggling with sketchy “buyers” over the internet, or dealing with exorbitant consignment fees. The pro staff at Bike Werx has extensive buying and selling experience in the industry, and we’re confident we can get you top dollar for your gear.

We have three options for selling gear with Bike Werx:

  • Trade

All you have to do is box the bike and/or gear and we’ll send you a shipping label via email. Once the item is with us, we encourage you to work closely with our remarket team to establish price, unique selling features, and best selling practices. From there, we do all the legwork to get it sold.

We’ll bring your bike into our studio and shoot professional photos for listings, market your items to a large audience, negotiate the best possible price and even ship the bike to its new owner – at no cost to you.

When the bike sells, you receive a store credit for 100% of the sales price to apply toward a new bike or gear. With bicycles, we work with local shops in your area or ours to get you the bike you want. The staff at Bike Werx have backgrounds working in local bike shops (LBS) and they are our preferred means for your purchase. Credit may also be used for items in the Bike Werx store. 

  • Consignment

All of the same applies above except that you get cash for your bike or gear instead of credit. We offer an industry-low fee of 5-10% on all consignments.

  • Sell

Want to sell your gear quickly? We’ll pay you cash based on the item’s current market value.

In our view, a lasting, trustful relationship with an LBS keeps bikes functioning properly, helps cyclists with any and all questions, and promotes cycling in the local community. Without them, there would be no cycling industry. We understand that every bike shop or retailer can’t be everything to everyone, but by using Bike Werx we help you and your LBS focus on your needs while supporting local business.

We back up the entire process with our 100% Satisfaction guarantee. If a buyer is not satisfied for whatever reason we will refund 100% of the sale price for 30 days (minus any shipping costs). It’s important to us and you that our guarantee be short, simple, transparent, and with no catches.
